2 Samuel 6 tells us that when David's first attempt to bring the Ark to Jerusalem went wrong he took it aside into the house of Obed Edom, where it remained for three months.
During that time the Lord blessed Obed Edom and all his household.
What had Obed Edom done to deserve those blessings?
Nothing at all. The Ark had come onto his land and while it rested there he received the blessing that comes from the presence of the Lord. The Bible doesn't even tell us whether he was a good man, a hard worker, a generous man, a man who loved his family. Simply that when the Ark rested with him he was blessed.
Praise God for His presence with you today. Jesus promises that He will never leave you nor forsake you, that surely He is with you always even to the very end of the age.
His presence will never be removed from you. His blessing will always be upon you and your household.
So thank Him today. Praise Him today. Give glory to Him today.
And enjoy His blessing today.
