The psalmist makes a wonderful declaration in psalm 139. "How precious also are your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
If I should count them they would be more in number than the sand"
What an amazing, wonderful revelation. We think of the stars in the sky when we think of God's promise to Abraham. We think of the grains of sand and the number of Abraham's descendants, and we marvel at the scale of the promise.
But this is as nothing compared to God's thoughts concerning us. Each thought wrapped in His infinite love. Each thought perfect in truth. Each thought one of a desire to bless, to prosper, to preserve, to sustain. Each thought one of life and of joy in the pinnacle of His creation.
You are never an afterthought to God. You are never at the back of the queue.
His desire is for you, to walk with you, to talk with you, to heal you, to lift your head, to be a father to you and also your brother.
You are always at the forefront of His thoughts.
Yes, you. Even you.
You were worth the cross, the crown of thorns, the shed blood, even the agony of death.
His thoughts towards you are infinite and they are precious.
So praise Him, rejoice in Him, rejoice with Him and delight in Him today. And know how dear to Him you truly are.
