How mighty is the Blood of Jesus, the Blood of the new Covenant, the Blood of cleansing, the Blood that speaks a, better word than that of Abel, the Blood that gives us access with boldness to the throne of grace, the Blood by which we overcome.
Faith in the power of the Blood is what Rahab exercised when she placed the scarlet cord in the window. Even as the walls came down, she and her household were spared even though her house was built on the city wall.
Even as the Israelites put the people of the city to death, they would do no harm to Rahab and her household.
Rahab not only was spared, but this unclean harlot become the wife of Salmon and the mother of Boaz, the kinsman redeemer. She is included in the family line of Jesus Himself.
What a transformation, what honour, what dignity now crowns the head of this woman.
Because of the Blood.
The Blood of the Lamb.
A single scarlet cord saved a household and transformed a destiny.
Because of faith in the Blood.
So praise Him for His Blood today. Rejoice in the cleansing flow. Delight in the knowledge that you partake in the new Covenant.
