Therefore do not worry

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?"

(Matthew 6:25-27)

When God spoke to Moses as the Israelites began their journey to the promised land, He said "Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you."

Think of it. Bread from heaven for over half a million men on foot, plus women and children.

Every day.

Except the Sabbath.

For forty years.

Think about it.

Every seven days for forty years.

The same exact pattern

Manna for five days.

On the sixth day double.

Rest on the seventh day.

There was always enough.

No matter how many people.

No matter how many children were born during those forty years.

No matter how the number of the Israelites increased or decreased during all of that time.

This is our God, whose eye is on the sparrow.

This is our God, who knows the number of hairs on our heads.

The exact number.

Of every person living right now.

He knows every detail, sees every moment, has already promised to provide for every need.

He knows every heartbeat, He sees every tear, He hears every cry.

And He keeps every promise.

In every situation, every circumstance.

So do not worry, do not fret, do not be anxious for anything.

But praise Him in all things. Magnify His name.

Wonder at His awesome majesty.

Rejoice in His infinite love.

And trust Him always. Praise Him for His care, His grace, His love, His faithfulness and His wonderful mercies that are new every morning.

God bless you.
