Our Vision
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20, NKJV)
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
(Acts 1:8, NKJV)
Or, in a modern context, to our town of Clevedon and the region of North Somerset, to our own nation of the United Kingdom and to the nations of the world.
The gospel is at the heart of everything we do:
We seek, by whatever means possible, to bring the good news of salvation into peoples’ lives, encouraging mission as a lifestyle and engaging with the people that Jesus gave His life for.
To reach the “forgotten people” – the housebound, the people in residential homes, the poor, the lonely, the people that society overlooks. We seek to bring them the love, comfort and peace that only comes through Jesus Christ in practical ways and by providing spiritual care.
To be a “hub”, planting congregations in our region, especially in the hamlets and villages that often get overlooked – the healthy vine bearing fruit through many branches.
To be involved in our region, working to bring change for good in society. As the Lord’s prayer says, that the will of God be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
To provide, through media channels, teaching, encouragement and support for those who are unable to access church physically due to illness, lack of mobility or shift patterns, and where possible to provide pastoral support and backup for those individuals.
To encourage a life of discipleship, teaching people to follow Christ through the teaching of God’s word in the power of the Holy Spirit and in turn leading others to Jesus.
To assist the work of the gospel around the globe through financial support, missions, and teaching materials; enabling projects, such as schools, orphanages and Bible schools to grow and thrive.
To support and help the persecuted church around the world through prayer, financial support and whatever practical means possible.
